This is the perfect watch for every day wear and handsome to boot! The Rolex brand is, of course legendary, and this particular Rolex is a very handsome watch. I think that it is so attractive due to several factors that all combine to make this watch very desirable. The case, measuring 36mm in diameter by 43mm lug to lug, is all stainless steel and in mint condition (clearly seen in the "Zoom-In" photos), with a screw-down crown, and in a classic configuration. Yes, we here at Father Time are partial to black dials and this one is no exception. It is the perfect minimalist dial layout displaying bar markers topped by luminous dots and delineated seconds hash marks. The date window at 3 o'clock has the famous Rolex "Cyclops" magnifier for easy viewing. The Rolex designation of "Oyster" is the assurance that the watch is waterproof and the "Perpetual" designation means that it is automatic or self-winding. This is Rolex's 26 jewel (ref. 1570) workhorse that is officially "Chronometer" rated meaning that it has passed stringent tests for accuracy, heat, cold, and isochronism.  This killer Rolex was made circa 1969 and lovingly cared for over the past 41 years and is now, after our meticulous restoration, ready for another lifetime of use. We have fitted the watch with a beautiful dark brown genuine crocodile band that really compliments the look!
